Drivers Window Regulator Replacement

Hi All,

I replaced the window regulator yesterday after the original gave up in all the snow and ice over the last few weeks.

It works fine with the exception it does not fully wind down into the door. It stays 3cm proud of the door. I dont think it's the new mechanism but could this be a switch or a reset that needs to be done??

It knows when it's fully up and stops and drops when the door handle is used, just as it should but any help working out why it wont fully go down would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Matt

I think you have a regulator from a Boxster. They are the same regulator, but you need to move the bottom stops from the Boxster position to the 996 position:

That's exeactly what I have done!!. I was so chuffed when I replaced it and the outter window scrapper that I missed this simple issue, what a wally!

Richard as usual you come up trumps. Thank you.

I'll now sort it out. Many thanks

My passenger door window's never gone all the way down into the door but has always worked fine. I feel another door card removal coming on.
