drivers window seal on top of the door

Everytime I lower the drivers window down, the rubber that runs along the top of the door curls inwards, and i guess sooner or later it will crack and fall off! Tried cleaning it and drying it etc.

Anyone any ideas what i can put on the seal it to lube it? (apart from all the obvious answers) and i'd like somthing that isnt going to leave embarassing stains up the window when I close it again

thanks
Jon

Mine does it when it is hot, but not in this cold weather. I find that keeping the back of the seal clean (the bit in contact with the glass), and then applying a very thin wipe of silicone lubricant helps. I use a Wurth Silicone aerosol - spray a little on a clean cloth, and wipe it on the back of the seal. Take care not to overdo it, or it does smear onto the window.

thanks, Ray on piston heads has suggested that as well. ive kept it clean, wondering if thats the problem - leave if mucky and green and no problems ?
cheers
Jon
