Driving dilemma

Today I celebrate (?) my 60th birthday. Good news is that Senior management has bought me a driving day experience.
The problem is what to go for? My choices are : Aston Martin Vantage, TVR something, Bentley Continental, or a recreation of a Le Mans Jaguar D Type - to be driven at Goodwood. My heart is telling me to go for the Jaguar. Anyone want to try and persuade me otherwise?!

I'd go for the D-type too. It might not be the quickest, but I'd imagine it will be the best experience.

D Type.
Open air ( hair!).
Big Grin.
Bentley and Vantage totally sanitised.
TVR probably break down.
What an undestanding wife!!

Yup, D Type. Was lucky enough to be driven for a lap of Spa in one by Whizzo Williams. It's like taking an old lady for a dance...the thing waltzes around the track quite unlike any modern vehicle. And, at Goodwood, what else COULD you drive? Imagine the photo opps! Make sure you get old-style helmet and goggles or at least an open face. A bit of black polish on your face and some white overalls, and, hey presto, you are Sterling Moss!

I'd say D Type (will it be fitted with Cross-plies?)
as a second choice the TVR, again a great experience, the other two will feel like souped-up BMWs

D Type - has to be..........

Goodwood has plenty of narrow track and loads of Armco (dont mean to worry you [;)])

Happy 60th Birthday Andy
Mine is due later this year in August.

I'd go for the Aston myself because it is confortable and very civilised. The D type would be awesome but I'd imagine very noisy, rough and terrifying [:(] Mmmm I've changed my mind Andy the others are right go for the D Type . What an experience to treasure .

have a fantastic day and make sure you get some pictures for the rest of us

Depends on which version of Aston Martin's Vantage is avaliable.
If we're talking 70's 80's tin then unquestionably i'd go for that.

You really needed to ask?

Silly (60-year-old) boy!

(D-Type.)

Olli
My last sentence was "anyone want to persuade me otherwise?! Don't worry, the D Type most certainly is!!
