Taking my 986 2004 Boxster to Stuttgart next week. Can anyone let me know if standard headlight converters from say a Halfords european driving kit are ok to convert my headlights?

Thanks

Peter

Thanks David [:)]

I knew I'd seen it posted somewhere - but couldn't remember where!

Peter, you'll need to register to see the content on Renntech - but it's free [8D] The template for the headlight mask can then be seen in the link David gave.

Masking from 12 'o'clock to 3 'o'clock does the trick.

The 'official' offering peeled off on the way down so I'd save your money.

Have to continue to demonstrate my ignorance. I bought some converters today. Can they go on the perspex outer piece or does that have to be removed first?? Obviously i will have to get someone else to fit them if that is the case!

On the last few trips over there I have just used insulation tape straight on the glass or whatever it is. It stays on, peels off, does the job but looks crap - bit like me really!

No - you can remove the whole headlight, open the back cover (4 philips screws), flick the lever over inside the unit, then close it up and put back into the body - a bit of a faff, but i did it in 15 minutes for both units whilst on the eurotunnel.
