Driving lights

Evening all. Noticed my indicator and driving light lenses were a bit dirty today. Managed to remove and clean the indicator lenses no probs, but struggled with the driving lights. I can remove the light unit no problem, but the lens is a real bugger to remove (bits of glass chipping away very easily!?). Any tips? Thanks, Bennyboy.

The screws corrode and become impossible to undo without drilling out using a rig.

Be very careful as its easy to damage the lens which costs circa £80

I couldn't see any screws to remove to get the lens off when the unit is out? Just 4 plastic retaining clips that seem impossible to work with?

been a while but IIRC there is a screw either end in the centre of a clear cover remove those and the retaining (and alignment) screws are behind, one in each corner,
Tony

I don't think you can remove the glass lens of the driving lights as they are glued to the rear half of the assembly. The only way i'd imagine you could get in there is through the hole where the bulbs enter the unit.

Both mine broke when being removed at Promax for the paint and repairs...I wont tell you how much new ones are [&:]

(the other chaps insurance company are paying though [8D])
