Driving trip to Stuttgart

I'm planning to take my car back the factory this year (for its 40th birthday!) and also to see the new museum. Has anyone ever driven there and if so, is there a good scenic route to take? I'm intending on going via Spa.

Hi Richard,

Good luck with your trip to Stuttgart, bear in mind that the new museum will not be ready to be opened until 2009 at the earliest, they have been held up by a shortage of the special steel they are using to build the exotic building. The old museum will be open and the Porsche Design shop. You should speak to Richard Watling the Clubs Factory visit organiser to help with your reception there. I suggest that your journey there should take in Spa Race Circuit, The Nurburgring, the Mosel and Rhine Valleys, perhaps the museums at Sinsheim and Schloss Langenburg. Parking can be difficult at Porsche Zuffenhausen if you are just one car you should find somewhere. There is a lot of building going on at present. Enjoy your trip.
