drone/whine C4S

I have a drone/whine which I think is coming from the front but not really sure at this stage, the car is a cabrio so I don't really notice it when the roof is down. Once the roof is up and the car is warmed up and travelling at say 70 mph it seems to be a variable drone/whine which seems to osclates. I wonder if it could be bearings, differental or even tyres. Has anybody had this experinces before? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Kind Regards Gary

Most likely culprit is a front wheel bearing. I had the same problem recently, and had them both changed (probably OTT). My indy diagnosed it by putting the car on a lift and running it up - you could hear the droning quite easily in my case.

Diff whine is usually higher pitched, and you can hear the note change as you come on and off throttle, whereas wheel bearing noise tends to be speed related.

Thank you Richard for your comments, bearings seem more acceptable than a diff!

Kid regards Gary
