Ok, so I succumbed to a little of the concours envy and bought the 1-2-3 kit from DT Concours and as the weather was nice on Saturday, I thought I'd give the old clay bar etc a go!
Results are stunning in terms of glass-like finish to the paintwork and the shine from the Carnauba wax. Spent around 2 hours doing it (not bad) and then 1.5hrs doing my wife's car (had to justify buying the kit somehow[
]). The amount of 'stuff' that came off the paint onto the clay is amazing/frightening but it leaves the paint so smooth afterwards.
Downside? Well, I am now intimately aware of all of the stonechips/paint flaws on the front of the car, whereas before I enjoyed blissful ignorance...[8|]
Ho hum!!
