Just wandered if anyone has retro fitted a Duck Tail to a 991, as well as general thoughts on the idea of doing it in the first place. All opinions positive or negative would be welcome.

I had one on my last car and I thought it looked great.
If one was available at the time of speccing the new car I would have added it 100%
That's my opinion anyway :)

Well, I love it and I believe its available through Porsche Tequipment/local PDC/design911.com, but remember you have to buy the "Sports Design Kit" as it adds additional aero to the front to reduce lift.

There's a 991.1 C4S here in Belgium with the Sports Design kit in your colour. I'll try and snap a pic if I see it again!

Thanks chaps for your replies. I thought you only need the duck tail as the GTS already has the additional aero to the front.

Ducktail was non-negotiable when we were looking for our 991.1 GTS, just love it.

Hi

Have a 991 GTS and fitted the ducktail myself one evening, was very straight forward as long as you take your times downloaded picture instructions from Porsche on the sequence of removal of the auto wing and installations had to take to Porsche after to plug in and disable auto wing as fault message message appears on dash, all good and very pleased with look

Thanks for comment's & hence have decided to get one fitted. Also thinking of changing rear lights for clear!!

Do you have a 4 as clear lights also means the strip running between them?

Ordered mine from factory (new) looks are amazing & in my view better than the other optional rear spoiler which I had on my 997

I agree & definitely looks good on yours. I need to get it organised & get one put on.
Thanks.

Haven't got a price yet but will go to my local opc first & see what they come up with. I'll post it in a couple of weeks as I'm away.
