I have just purchaced one of the Durametric Diagonstic Tools for my car, and so far have been very pleased with it.
It came quickly from the States, is easy to use, everything works as they claim, It was well under £200 inc Import duty.

It consists of a USB lead for your laptop, and there own software package. One installed you can Read and re-set Diagnostic trouble codes, Reset service reminders, Display actual values, Turn off airbag / ABS lights. Retrive info on DME, ABS, Airbags, Tipo, Alarm, seat memory, Heating / AC etc.

It also shows you if the car has ever been over the rev limit, in different levels, that way you can see if it has been abused in the past. How long the car has run, in hours. again usefull to see if a car is showing the true mileage.

the kit works on most models. 964 to 997, boxter, cayman etc. and the cheaper 'enthusiast' option will work on a total of 3 different cars.

There web site is. www.durametric.com [:)]
