Hi all,

I understand that there is a 356 day at Duxford on 18th May. Turns out I will be in the country and would love to attend.

Does anyone have any info on where to get tickets?

I would imagine it does. Every car show that I have attended at this venue has included entry.

Why not email the register secretary 356@porscheclubgb.com with your question.

Pleased to here you are going.

Do you know the start time for the event?

Which gate do you enter through? For show cars its normally the farthest gate from the M11. Is this the case for this event?

Su & I attended also with a flat 4 air cooled engine. Sadly it was a three wheeler, but we did average 140 mph on the way there. [:)]

Well done the organisers - a super display of the aircooled cars that underpinned the Porsche brand's rise to commercial and racing success.

Well done the participants for fetching out their prized possessions , the weather gods were clearly in favour of the date chosen [:D]

I have recently returned to the 356 fold after a gap of 46 years [;)] .....back in 1968 I bought a secondhand Bali blue 356B Super 90 ......and earlier this year I bought a 'seventhhand' Bali blue 356C....after a succession of 911s of both the touring and the 'sporting' variety.

The location at Duxford was ideal for setting out the 35+ cars that were on display , and there was plenty to go look at on the site for the aviation enthusiasts....here are a few camera phone pictures taken on the day

first up a trio of real Carreras

and finally a few colourful coupes

There are better pictures elsewhere on the DDK website that are worth viewing , especially just looking at a 4 cam engine which is all most of us can hope to do.....am very jealous of Fred and Simon [;)]
