Dyno Day??

Hi. Looks like a few other people are organising dyno days and thought it would be good to set up a meet for the RS folk. Would there be sufficient interest?

Mel - a birdie told me you had a conversation about this, any idea if the plans will come to fruition in the near future?

There are a few ideas in terms of location/garage/cost on the 3.2 Carrera forum.

Or I could just go and find a dyno on my own [&o] which would be a lot less fun.

Regards

Yoda -if you'd like to talk to Allan McKee at Weltmeister, Silverstone -he's offered a session -just a case of arranging mutually convenient dates for all. Cost will be about thirty quid per car.

I'll leave it to you then?

Is the dyno at Weltmeister C4 compatible?

If so, I'd be up for this if non RS's are allowed (wanabe owner thou)[:)]

Rob,

Yes, Weltmeister's dyno IS a 4WD affair. I went over there during the week just to say hello and it looks like it's all coming together quite well. I believe there is a 944 dyno day there this weekend.

Allan said they were hoping to get the big "Porsche" extractor fan installed soon so I don't know if that will be a controlling factor for an RS day.

Regards

Perhaps they've heard of the RS curry Nights!!! [:D]

I spoke to Allan a while back and he told me he had spoken to Mel about organising a day.

Mel - I'll give Allan a shout and see if there are some suitable dates - will try for June but will depend on what Allan has already arranged.

Should be a good day, I've always been curious as to bhp figures for my car.

Regards

Hi Maurice

That would be great, I posted a new thread on the 964 RS forum to try and get some names/numbers for Alan and there is plenty of space. Would be excellent if you guys could join us.

I think Alan has a minimum of 12 and a maximum of about 30 - 35. Burger van can be called out if more than about 20 participants.

Regards
