I have e-mailed with Steve Wong as my car was stalling when dipping the clutch coming to a stop - he said I needed to raise the idle to 880rpm which I have done and it appears OK.
I am going to get myself back to Weltmeister to see how his chip has worked or not for me.
Can I ask - how much do they charge for a single session as opposed to going in a group, and will they do anything to the car whilst there to try and 'tune it' if the dyno readings show that adjustments could make a difference ?
I am nervous about going again having made 240 first time there - my SW chip may have reduced power, but if it has, then I will send the sheets to SW and he will re-chip for free so nothing to get too concerned about.

Jamie, still waiting on the cage and currently too noisy for Bedford - though working on that as well. Also, I don't have any track tyres right now. My wife just had a baby 12 days ago, so its all a bit hectic round here.
caio,
Richard
I've got a lovely set of Colway Traxtars in just your size [
I'm too moisy for Bedford too, but for some reason I seem to be ok on the driveby monitors. Maybe I just drive like a wuss !

Impressive figures for your car, is that it for now on the engine side or do you have other plans.
Cheers

- instal cage
- duck tail
- 911R rear lights
- install RS carpet set
- new harnesses
- fit downturns to tail pipes to tone down the noise for track days
- RS door panels
- new track tyres
- refurb wheels or buy 17s
On the maybe list are plastic bumpers and on the wish list are throttle bodies and engine management which might get me to 285+hp. My only real regret so far is deciding not to do the lightweight flywheel while doing clutch and pressure plate. Otherwise its all been money well spent.

Having been to WSC and run my custom chip today, your AFR still looks very low (down the graph) compared to mine - in fact there is as much to come in your new graph as I have just had - i.e. it can go up to 0.88 which SW told me was ideal.
I know I know about 1% of what you do on the 911, but I think your estimate of 5bhp more is conservative - SW said I would get 5 and he gave me 16 !!!

Well, thanks I believe mostly to Steve Wong's expertise the result was 247.3 bhp and a pretty flat torque curve between 4500 rpm and 6000 rpm with an equally flat lambda of 0.84 between 4000 and 6,500 rpm. All this on 95 RON.
I, like you, will be sending the graphs to Steve for his evaluation, but Chris and Allan at Weltmeister thought these were very satisfactory results for what is basically an off-the -shelf chip.
Again, congratulations Ian and Richard on your results.

If he gets even 5 more hp then I am still happy, 10+ would be fantastic. I would think I am pretty close to the limit on a number of things though now. 9M reckon the injection is a limitation and the std 3.2 intake runners must start to be a limitation. Also the SSIs are a tad small for ultimate hp. Not sure when I will get back to Weltmeister to test it either.
