Taken from the 964 forum get signed up people [;)]

Many of our cars will be over 25 years old soon but will not be eligible for classic car tax. Signing this e-petition might give us the chance of classic car tax in the future:

Done - Mine's over 25 already, so this would be a big bonus. After 25 years, she's paid her dues......................

I dont know whether it was a surprise when the Conservative goverment introduced it before, whether it had been lobbied for or whether i was designed to sweeten some other less welcome change, but whichever it was it happened in a different world.

Id welcome it but would be amazed to see it. If it does come in Id expect some Franco-Germanic EU bullshit to be tied to it, meaning free but with restricted use.

Well at the end of the day if we do nowt, nowt will happen, the government do listen, i recently sent a mail to my MP regarding DEFRA,s attitude to re stocking of salmon on my local river, he did get in touch with DEFRA and brought up the subject and copied me the reply from them so not all of them sit in the house of commons bar getting pished on cheap ale [:D]

Done

If all classic car owners know about this 100,000 is possible. The Government will still ignore it though.

I would rather pay the relatively small, in proportion to the cost of running a 944 amount than risk any 'green' restrictions put in place on older cars, which is my fear.
