E-Power gone around same time as emission control light fault now showing

I have a 2016 SE hybrid. Although I see 100% charge, the electric motor no longer kicks in and it doesn’t respond to pressing the E-Power button (message displays "not available”). Coincidentally(?) the dashboard light for "emission control” displays permanently. Anyone with experience with this?

I have it booked to be looked at in a couple of weeks, but wonder what the possibilities are so I can brace myself for the costs.
