Is anyone in the Early 911 Register planning to attend the Silverstone Classic meeting in their Early 911 cars ?
I am trying to put together a display of 10 cars from our Register to show the world of motoring how fantastic our cars were when they were launched in 1963 and how they have stood up to the test of time and are still on the road today after between 50 and 40 years on the road. (if they still are ?)
I am looking through the list from the Silverstone Booking Office and trying to compare their list with the Early 911 Register to find out who has already booked to attend the meeting. So far I have got only a couple of cars and the cut off date for buying tickets is only 16 days from today,(May 31st 2013) after then no tickets will be sold, so you will not be able to attend this special Classic race meeting which is also this years National Meeting of Porsche Club GB.
PCGB and the show celebrating 50 years of the 911 and are trying make a new record of the largest number of Porsche 911 cars on a race circuit at the same time. They are trying to get 911 x 911's or more on the racetrack, I am trying to get 10 Early 911's for a special display of our seminal cars to make a display for the three day meeting. I would prefer that the display is not made up of all 1972 and 1973 model year cars and that we have some 1964/5 and later cars as well. Let us brighten up the show with our wonderful range of Early 911 colours.
Please email me on robinjowalker@aol.com or on 911@porscheclubgb.com or on this Forum and tell me the following details :-
1, Your name
2, What Early 911 model of Porsche you are bringing, (Year, model)
3, What colour
4, Which day(s) you will be attending
5, Will you be driving the Parade lap on Sunday lunch time.
You may have already told Club Office your details but they seem to have been cut short to just Name and no of tickets.
