Early 911 Display at Silverstone Classic meeting

Is anyone in the Early 911 Register planning to attend the Silverstone Classic meeting in their Early 911 cars ?

I am trying to put together a display of 10 cars from our Register to show the world of motoring how fantastic our cars were when they were launched in 1963 and how they have stood up to the test of time and are still on the road today after between 50 and 40 years on the road. (if they still are ?)

I am looking through the list from the Silverstone Booking Office and trying to compare their list with the Early 911 Register to find out who has already booked to attend the meeting. So far I have got only a couple of cars and the cut off date for buying tickets is only 16 days from today,(May 31st 2013) after then no tickets will be sold, so you will not be able to attend this special Classic race meeting which is also this years National Meeting of Porsche Club GB.
PCGB and the show celebrating 50 years of the 911 and are trying make a new record of the largest number of Porsche 911 cars on a race circuit at the same time. They are trying to get 911 x 911's or more on the racetrack, I am trying to get 10 Early 911's for a special display of our seminal cars to make a display for the three day meeting. I would prefer that the display is not made up of all 1972 and 1973 model year cars and that we have some 1964/5 and later cars as well. Let us brighten up the show with our wonderful range of Early 911 colours.

Please email me on robinjowalker@aol.com or on 911@porscheclubgb.com or on this Forum and tell me the following details :-
1, Your name
2, What Early 911 model of Porsche you are bringing, (Year, model)
3, What colour
4, Which day(s) you will be attending
5, Will you be driving the Parade lap on Sunday lunch time.

You may have already told Club Office your details but they seem to have been cut short to just Name and no of tickets.

Your Register Needs You, Please Respond, Thank You.

Thanks Philip, I will be in touch, don't panic you are on my list. I have a few 1973 cars as possible display models and may well have the display full of the later cars. I am looking for cars to make up the display on all three days of the meeting and am having problems finding the very early cars.
Incidentally the robinjowalker@aol.com email address will come straight to me, the 911@porscheclubgb.com address will go to Ian McLeod who will forward it to me, just keeping him in the loop.

Sorry Phillip, I have not yet received your email, please resend to robinjowalker@aol.com
Also I cannot see your name on the list of members that have booked using the C13911 code was it booked recently or under another name ?

Hi Robin,

I have sent it again, but that email address is the same as I used before - perhaps the original got treated as spam?

I did book with SEE on 23rd January using the code C13911 but the order confirmation that I got from them didn't show it. Eventually, after asking several times, I got an email response from SEE tickets confirming that the "package' is C13911. But to be frank I am expecting to turn up on the day and find that they have messed up my booking.

Best regards
Philip

I have found your name on the C13911 list, you must have booked as soon as the list was opened. I have put your name on the list for the display.
and will be in touch in early July with final details.
