Early 944 sill replacement

Do we have any recommendations for bodyshops???
The sills on my late 84 944 are showing signs of the tin worm[:-]. I would like to get them sorted before the next MOT - September. Any recommendations for body shops around the East Midlands would be appreciated. Not to worried about travelling out of the area so say within 50 miles of Burton On Trent would be good.

Ta very glad, Roger944.

Just had my sills re-sprayed and other touch-up work by Tony who is located at PH Sportscars so is local to you. He did a great job, knows the cars and is experienced in working on them, is reasonably priced and wend into detail about how he actually did the work. I'd recommend him.

Hi Scott,

I thought PH Sportscars was no longer and had changed to Cavendish Classics???. I haven't been up there for a couple of years, PH did alot on my car 7 years ago before I bought it.

Regards, Roger

+1 for Tony - he tidied up my lower wings / sills earlier this year & also did another red one ( Ben's old 220 with the 250 motor ) recently.

The ph sportscars number still works, but I think Paul has wound down the business. Most of the work is done through Kirkmans - another garage Paul owns on the site.

Tony has his own paint shop on the site - he's not part of ph, but you can book it through them

Yes, I think you're right in that PH Sportscars no longer exists but the same people are still there. I still refer to them as PH Sportscars so people know what i'm on about. If you give them a call on their old number or pop down and ask for PH Sportscars they'll all know what you mean.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the input. I'll have a ride up to Shardlow when I'm back off the oil rig in a week or so and see Rob at Kirkmans/PH. I'm also going to contact the people at Phoenix Motors who Flipatron has used, photos looked good when I followed the link, perhaps have a drive out and see them too. I'll let you know.

TTFN, Roger944.
