A group of enthusiasts, who obviously couldn't sleep, were up early on Sunday morning for an early morning run around the TT course. We met at the Grandstand where it was fine but cool.
It was nice to see Norman & Catriona there in their lovely new Boxster S, and Charles making a return after having his Targa in the workshop, getting a few issues put right.
It was a slightly delayed departure whilst waiting for me to turn up 15 minutes late. By my reckoning I was actually 15 minutes early, but I'd actually got the time wrong by half an hour! Ah well, at least I had more of a lie in than the rest. [

We set off with a group of racing cyclists, who were also doing a lap, in aid of charity. We have made this mistake before, during the Porsche Club Manx Tour, but usually we have left them all behind before any really fast bits. I'm sure they would have enjoyed listening to us accelerate past them. One advantage we had was that there were police on all the local traffic lights, waving us through. On the Manx Tour, some of the participants were very impressed that the police gave this sort of service on our Dawn Raids! [

We had a good run and, fortunately, it was dry and clear going over the mountain. Great fun. We had arranged to meet back at the sea terminal for a coffee, a chat and to let the cars cool down a bit.
Thanks to Julian for organising things, looking forward to the next event.
