We are planning a run out on the Easter Monday 17th April, for those not attending the WEC at Silverstone.

Plan is to meet at Toy's R Us car park, Metro Centre, mid morning to get a pre-drive coffee and then head off on a 125 mile circular route over to Cumbria and back. We'll be going via Stanhope, Alston, Hartside (possible stop for coffee and photo), Wetheral, Sally's at Warwick Bridge for another coffee and bite to eat, and then back via the A69 and the Military Road.

If anyone would like to join us please post so that we have a rough idea of numbers for Sally's.

I'll post more exact times and route map closer to the event!

Hope you can make it.

Excellent, good to have you along. We're looking forward to it, although I think it'll be in the Boxster as the 911 seems to have developed a fault!

Hi John, Ruth,

Great to have you with us.

I'll post more details soon, just typing up the route plan.

Hi Chris and Lynn

I'm a new member (987 boxster) and this sounds like a good run so please add me in.

Thanks for organising.

Hi John, Raj, Graeme and Michelle,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Great to have you all along.

I've been working on the route plan, thought I'd put it up here after tomorrows run (for those that can make it).

John, Looking at the timings we're thinking a 10am meet with a 10:30am leave should work, but I'll firm that up soon. Hope that's mid morning enough!

Raj, you're in good company with a 987 (I'm slightly biased), there are a few in the area and I think we all love them. I've noticed that you can't make tomorrows Clear away the cobwebs but it'll be good to catch up at either the club night or on the easter run.

Graeme, Michelle, good to have you with us. As it gets closer I'm starting to hope for good weather. Fingers crossed, but it won't wreck the fun whatever.

Would like to tag on the back on monday. How would you feel comeing to the big breakfast meet early sunday with me?

Hi All,

John, Ruth, sorry that you can't make it, enjoy your day with your visitors.

The plan is to meet between 10am and 10:30am at Metro Centre Toys R Us car park, leaving at 10:30am. We'll head off towards Stanhope picking one or two up on the way at Shotley Bridge, we'll then go via Alston to Hartside. Choice is yours to stop at Hartside for lunch or to continue on to Sally's at Warwick Bridge. We'll probably see how busy Hartside is and have bite there and then head to Sally's for coffee and cake.

After Sally's we'll head back along the A69 then the Military Road past Vindolanda and Housesteads. We'll drop back onto the A69 at Corbridge and end at the A69/A68 roundabout where we'll head home. From there you can either head down the A68 or along the A69 to the A1 if that is better for you.

I can't attach documents so I'll bring copies of the route plan with me on Monday morning.

Chris & Lynn
