Easy to change accelerator pedal?

Guest

New member
I'm changing the rubbers on my pedals and would like to bolt on a plate to my accelerator pedal to make heel & toeing easier.

Has anybody done this too? If so is it an easy job? Anything I should beware of?

Thanks in advance for any help

Piece of.

Undo the 2 screws holding to the wooden board, pop out the balljoint on the back and bob's your uncle.

Did the same thing on my old 964 - bolted on a suitably thick piece of wood - actually used a piece of an Ikea kitchen wooden worktop, cut to shape and sprayed black. This worked perfectly and allowed perfect heel/toe gear changes.

I made a baby cry at the weekend in a multistorey carpark with a little throttle blip... thats just the kind of guy I am [:D]

Thanks for all the advice. I managed to remove the pedal eventually and bolted on an alloy OMP plate bought for £12 from Demon Tweekes. Refitting it took seconds.
I was worried it mike look a bit chav but actually doesn't look too bad. (will try and take a pic)
The result is I can now actually heel and toe for the first time since selling my Elise. Yay.
Bit rusty though....

here's the plate if anybody is interested.

I only used the big one on the accelerator so the brake and clutch pedals remain standard.
