I don't think I'd be wanting to drive this car they claim, 'with the original tyres from new, which is very rare. They are all in very good condition', would they not be perished being this old?

Its good new looking Nankangs on it. The engine bay components such as the brake booster look in far worse condition than mine was at 160k miles when I got my brother to clean it up and hamerite as part of the race car build. Sorry that is one rough looking car and nothing like I would expect for low miles, I know what 40k miles condirion looks like as our Panda was 40k miles when we bought it and basically was like a new car inside and under the bonnet.

Thats what I thought mines has done 90K and looks much better than that

Here's another this time apparently 20K http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1984-PORSCHE-944-BLACK-AUTO-20-590-MILES-CUP-WHEELS-SPARES-REPAIRS-/291342591086?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item43d55f246e

What have these people been doing to the interior in such bad condition for such low mileage

you can just see the date on the Nankang NS-2 tyres as 2013.

do these sellers think we are all stupid?

143,000 miles. Maybe even 243,000 miles. A badly painted shed, sold by a crook to a fool. [:(]

If you zoom in on the paperwork you can see when it failed it's MoT in 1997 it had 00343 on the clock. I'd say it had just gone round to zero then.

At least it is totally original though

oh - apart from the total respray and colour change [8|]

Perhaps this forum should have a Baywatch section alongside the For Sale area where members can alert others to bargains or scams they have spotted and routinely ridicule deluded sellers. Works well on another forum I frequent[;)]

Here's a bargain..... Average condition[:-]

I would have said they could have at least washed and polished it to make it less faded, but it may fall apart by the amount of rust

What a mess! Sills, rear quarters and front wings all seriously rusty. Winning bidder will need a dustpan and brush to take it home.

However the fact that it has bids over £1700 (assuming no shill bidding other other shenanigans) suggests that that 944 market is on the up??

Bloody hell that eBay wreck makes my similar blind purchase look concourse!

None of them are even close to driveable!

I don't believe the stated mileages in any of the ads, 944s dont wear like a 1995 Fiesta!

I just hope nobody buys them and comes on here and we have to let them down.

When I look what I paid for my 2.7 4 years ago - £863 - for a running high mileage car, but with several months MOT prices are on the way up!

Who does he think he's kidding. You would have to be seriously stupid to entertain the idea that this car has done 43K, you only need to look at the seats, the gear knob, the drivers carpet. Seriously beyond a joke and should probably be reported to trading standards if this is a dealer.

The penultimate line in the ad says it all

"I feel I have been as honest as I can with this advert, just take it in mind that there are not many like this"

The irony is that he doesn't want any time wasters.
