I hoped/expected this Grey 944 to go for £1400-£1500 tops as...........

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300371627695&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&autorefresh=true

this car appeals and I could have got a very good bargaining price! ... now I'm stuck! as the reserve on this is/was £2200.....................originally. If the grey 944 had sold at £1400. I could have gone in with a good offer! but now ahhhhhh

Everyone thinks £2000 is top money on here for this car!!

Goes to show if you hang on in there you get what you are looking for!

Ok .. so why did the Grey one reach £1000 more than the Red one????

Odd!! Don't say colour! At £20-£30K yes colour but ...........!!

There are often people who get carried away , over bid for a car but then find an excuse ( or reason) not to pay. Lots of over bid cars quickly re appear for sale as a result.
Often for example some victim is 'bid up' by the vendor or his mates it is very common.

My old 944 turbo needing lots of work was 'sold' twice at least on e bay by the ***ster I sold it to. Was he putting in phantom bids ??? , did people bid in good faith turn up and find not what they expected ? who knows. [&:]

Dont get me wrong the seller of he car you were after may just have been well lucky and good luck to him , I'd love to sell that car for that money !

If you are patient then you will without a doubt get a reasonably priced auto as rightly or wrongly they are the least desirable oval dashed 944's.

Very best of luck Mas

Very true. Worth a message to the seller, just in case the sale falls through. He might be prepared to come to you rather than go for a re-listing, it's worked for me when I've been outbid.

Mr Aftershock - have you come across these two cars before ?

Either of these of interest ? Don't think either are top-tip examples but may be worth some investigation ?

Until you see a 20-25 year old car in the flesh you have no real idea what condition it is in. Maybe the winning bidder spent some time testing it and realised it was a damned fine example compared to the other half dozen wrecks he had already tested [&:]

Have you seen the one John Mitchell has ?
