eBay Rips off 944 Owners

Is it just this item ...? Or is there more examples....?

This item is £3 already before the auction even starts.... From our Main Dealer Issac Agnew Belfast I got the same item for £1.17 vat included.... !

I see an indicator lense at nearly £22 incl. p+p on ebay ... and it could rise for the auction is still live.......

Issac Agnew's charge about £14 odd for a brand new genuine part (and you know what you are getting )

Are these people taking the mick.....! Have you lads found this or is it just me........?
 
Its the scourge of Ebay

If its up for aution folk will think its cheaper

It happens more often than you think

Folk will bid amd keep bidding with out checking the price of an item
 
There's loads of stuff on ebay that is well over the sensible price - that's why so many people set up ebay shops - it's a license to print money because there are so many potatoes sitting at PCs and not looking elsewhere. (This includs me - while ago I bought some LED side lights, they were really dim, I could have returned them but got too busy and forgot)

That said, there are bargins to have too.

I've bought and sold quite a few (mostly non car) things and it works well if you are careful.
 
I don't know how many times I've said to people to call Chris at Exeter OPC, then Bert, then all the other suppliers before thinking about e-bay. Soooooo many times I've had someone call me to say they've found a really good used part and I don't have the heart to tell them that it would be cheaper new from Porsche....[:eek:]

I guess that most owners who are new to the cars expect Porsche prices to be ridiculous. It's a great surprise to find that they still supply almost all spares at pretty fair prices, even though the prices do fluctuate - as with water pumps at the moment.

Just a thought, has anyone called for a price on a "body in white"? Noticed it when looking through the parts catalogue. I'd quite like to clear some space in the parts department by ordering part no. 944 500 901 00! [:D]
