I attended the first meeting of the year ,a total of 8 showed up a bit disappointing considering the member base we have in the east .Who was the guy who showed up in a red 944 but did not seek us out, then was last seen driving out off the car park ? Nice to meet up with two new faces Paul and John, the later is the 968 moderator.Thank,s to all who came along. On a personel note I think Norton House is a better venue all round ,any thoughts about going back there ?

Hi,
I'm new to this Club and the Forum, but have been reading everyone's postings with great interest. I would love to go to the next meeting, and my husband suggested the Hawes Inn in South Queensferry. Apparantly the Harley Davidson club go there. Does anyone have any thoughts on this venue?

Hi Jane thanks for your comments on another venue. It is up to the members to decide where to meet the problem is that it takes a full month to come out in the PP as not all members are on the forum ,so to change can take time ,welcome to forum Cheers Brian RO1

Hi Jane, nice to see you on here and look forward to meeting up again.[]
I'd thought about the Hawes as well, but it would need to be on a night that didn't clash with the bike meetings. I think quite a few bike clubs meet there, almost on an unofficial basis. I'll ask some of my more hard core biker pals.[8D] Hawes would be good in summer though.

Hi John,
Nice to see you on here too, and it will be nice to meet up again after all these years. What a small world![]
We'll certainly try and make the next meeting at the Crammond.
By the way......what's a "weegin"?[&:]

Hi John
I don't believe I missed what the "weegins" were. I pondered over it for ages before I found the courage to ask you! Aargh.....[][][]

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the invite to Glasgow to meet you "weegins". I would love to come through, and if it was the summer then I would. Between you and me ( I hope that not too many people read my confession here) I hate driving in the dark! ......ok ok my secret is out! Hey....maybe some of you "weegins" (who like to drive in the dark) could come through to the East? How's about it? Sounds like the East could do with some more support!

any way I thought us Weegins were barred from Edinburgh after 8 pm
Normally yes, but as long as you are accompanied by an Emburger you will be OK []
I hate driving at night, must be an age thing !!
yes and no, it's just that with age comes a modicum of common sense [&:]
More seriously though, modern car lights are so bright these days, that in really heavy traffic I just feel dazzled [8|]

Phew,
I thought that you "guys" would laugh at a woman who doesn't like to drive in the dark....glad to hear that I'm not alone on that one.
As for "weegins" going to Edinburgh after 8pm......hmm... I never thought of that..........we'll need to think of a cunning plan........

You have to prefix it with "Glas" [][][]

Brian,
It was a great turnout wasn't it.[]
Catherine and I had a good time as usual, and it was lovely to meet new faces as well as "old" ones . (please don't take that the wrong way![])
We'll need a bigger venue soon[]
