Electric Cabrio Hood closure issue

Everything happens with the button, but the catch, no longer lines up with the guide, into which it should lock. Using the drivers manual, I have managed to lock the hood onto the frame, "˜emergency operation', but when I open and close it again, the hood doesn't catch properly. So the'emergency operation' is performed again. []
How do you go about adjusting the hood mechanism so that all is well again?
Cheers, Alan.

I had the same problem found that by unzipping the rear window it lets the roof have less tension and seems to line up better ![8D]

I never put the hood down without unzipping the rear window first. In this way your window stays clear without marks especialy important in cold weather. To get the catches right you will have to have the hood refitted.

Yeah I do the same always unzip first, but I also treat once a year with 'hind sight', which keeps the rear screen very clean and clear.

Hi,

Likewise I also undo the zip before lowering the hood, and so wasn't attached.

The problem appears to be with the timing of the passenger catch. It looks as if it's just a little too advanced to slide into the guide properly.

I would also like to say that the guide pins, left and right are both locating properly. So I don't think there is an issue with
tension.

Does anyone know how you adjust the timing of the left l

I had problems with my roof have you made sure the micro switches are working I had mine replaced. Also the gearbox and linkages could be worn making the roof not running square with the the frame

Hi - Hind-sight is advertised in the back of Porsche post most weeks, (not a Porsvhe product).
Cheers

Here you go this is the place that i got mine from
http://www.morethanpolish.com/hindsight.asp
Scroll down the page its towards the bottom.
Make sure that you follow the instructions properly and it works very well.

Cheers

Adam

Have used Hindsight before great product but hard work defiantly not a wipe on wipe off product It was developed by a surgeon in Edinburgh seemingly stretches the human skin There is enough in the pack to do several rear screens so perhaps a group purchase in a region would work and pass it around once done I doubt you will have to do it again for years

I too had heard bad reports but as you say its all about following the instructions (RTFM) and a bit of elbow grease!
My screen came up really well and I treat it once every year or two.
