Electric seat adjusters

I have a 1996 993 and have noticed that when I try and adjust the seat height at the back of the seats using the up arrow on the rearmost of the two buttons it does not work.It will go down though if you press the down arrow.Any clues?I have checked the obvious-Fuse,connections,wiring and the motors but cannot find anything wrong.

I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. It turned out that the contacts in the switch were dirty and it was fairly easily fixed by using an aerosol contat cleaner and squirting it into the switch while constantly operating it up and down. After a few minutes, it suddently started working again.
