Electric seats

Hi all

Can anyone help

The electric seats in my 2.7 944 all work fine if your not sat in them, as soon as you sit in them they dont work.
has anyone else experienced this and if so is it an easy fix.

I am planning to take the seats out at the weekend & have a look see if anything a miss but thought I might save myself a job.

There are simple pushfit electrical connectors underneath the seats. It sounds as if yours are coming loose and when you sit down they break connection. Hopefully when you take the seats out, all will become clear.
 
In the seats I have mended, either a wire has become detached from the back of the switch or the switch itself is suffering from corroded contacts. There is not a lot of spare wire to enable removal of the switch without unfastening the seat loom from under the seat.
 
Cheers guys Am still new to porsches and will no doubt be asking a few more questions, but I am learning and hopefully will be able to help out myself at some point Simon
