Electric super charger!! What the **!!

OMG!
Avoid.
It IS too good to be true. Anyone who thinks that an electric powered supercharger is going to work needs their head examining. This unit is more likely to restrict air intake.

Can you believe anyone would fall for this rubbish! Its worse than those little resistor things that supposedly increase your bhp by bypassing somethin or other!!!

£20, for that ....

Something tells me I am in the wrong business. I need to think of some demonstrably useless tat to see to gullible motorists to make me a fortune ... (what about a "Road Fund Licence" disk perhaps? [:D] )

We have spoken about this before CLICK

Please note my beans are still for sale, although brass nec... sorry.... increased manufacturing costs have pushed the price up to £50 as set. Let me know.

Definitely just a good laugh, surely?! Another use for your old hair dryer perhaps?

If you want to see something that's REALLY thinking outside the box, look at the Manic Beattie Special. This is a hill climb special often seen at Shelsley Walsh, powered by a Ford BDA and supercharged by a little helicopter starter turbine running separately from the engine. Result? Instant maximum boost off the line and several class records!!

Excellent bit of kit. The fan is a whole 3 amps [] That's really got to be flowing some serious volumes of air..............................NOT! [:D]

The joke continues. Follow his link to the filter wire and switch kit. Now, even assuming the ridiculous and the thing did work, why would you want a reed switch? [:D]

Come on guys, try to control yourselves here as there could be an advantage. The pressure in the inlet manifold would no doubt be sufficient to suck the fan round so would turn it into a little wind generator. More free electricals in your loom means less work for the alternator so less drag on the engine .'. more power. Yes I know it's nonsence but holds as much water as his claims to power.

John - you're a party pooper, for sure, but that Manic Beattie Special is truly nuts!

Single-purpose vehicle, built and driven accordingly, by an experienced engineer ... damn I want a drive of it!

<Thinking about going home early, so I can look at the youtube clips of it ... >

I know ... but wouldn't it be lovely if it worked!

Us S2 chaps could then dust the floor with you Turbo chaps with no more outlay than £18! And what a bargain that would be! And - hey - you could possibly buy two of them, for twin-stage turbocharging! How cool (and fast) would that be!

(Anyone who says is wouldn't work is also a party pooper, like Mr Simms, and I hope you find a platoon of large flies in your butterdish when you get home.)

Oli

Wouldn't that be a Squadron, Wing or Flight rather than a platoon on account of them being flies?

It's a "business" of flies...
