Electric window help.

Im having a bit of a nightmare with my electric window at the moment. It wasnt working on the drivers side and after much hunting traced it back to the motor. The plastic drive gear inside had worn and wasnt driving the lifting mechanism.
I bought two replacemnt motors and initially got the mechanism lifting up and down ok albeit a bit noisy but as soon as i put the glass in it is struggling, is very noisy and keeps dropping back down an inch or two when in the fully closed position
I dont understand it as it works fine without the glass and isnt catching anywhere obvious that i can see.
Has anyone else had to do this job and if so any tips??
Thanks.

It sounds like the symptom of only one of the little wheels being in the runner rather than both of them...

Mine was making a horrible grinding noise until I noticed that the two screws holding the motor in weren't tight and the motor was sagging and not engaging the gears properly, might be worth removing the entire mechanism and making sure the motor is seated properly.

Cheers chaps, gonna rip the lot out again tomorrow and start from scratch. Its odd because i did exactly the same procedure with the passenger side and it works fine and quiet.
Dont you just love em!!
