Electric Window Motor Replacement

I posted here a while ago about my passenger door window not working, I have been through all the checks, fuse, switches, checked I have volts at the switch and they are all ok so looks like the motor is shot.

Anyone changed a window motor before, looks like a pig of a job, anyone have a maintenance manual that gives some guide lines how to go about it.

Cheers,

Andy B.

I thought p-car might have something but the only thing I can find is how to remove the door card:
http://p-car.com/diy/ard/
It shows the upgraded speaker system, but the normal door card has the same mounting points.
I did this to fit some better speakers, and once you remove the plastic membrane (carefully!) that is stick to the door, the motor is easily accessable.

Good luck!

Thanks Sidned. I had already been on p.com and found the door card removal details. I have also been in touch with Robin who runs the p.com site and he did not have any info. I have already had a look and pulled back the waterproof membrane on the door and unfortunately the whole winder mechanism has to come out to get to the motor.

Anyone got any info on removing the window mechanism ?

Thanks Marke2.

The workshop manual is a huge file and my computer is strugling to download, need to give it some time and will try to find the section I need.

Will be taking a look at the mechanism when the winter gets here, will take some pics and post on here somewhere.
