Hopin you guys can point me in the right direction.
Both my electric windows stopped working suddenly.
I have checked the fuse and the wiring and the switches all look ok so i would like to eliminate the relay but i cant find it. I know it isnt on the main fuse board and the clarks site doesnt really say where it is. Can anyone help me out please.
Its an 85 early square dash model.
Cheers
Shaun

missed this first time around, but dont know - on an oval dash car I think in the fusebox but cant be certain, no idea on a square dash.

Hi
I think nobody replied is cos nobody knows!
Cant find mine on the car - its an 83 early car.
Sorry
Mike

Yes Paul
Mine has the relays under the dash, but they are all accounted for!
There is an auxillary fuse panel mounted closer to the door, but I cant see any relays there and theres a relay on the opposite side of the footwell, but that seems to be part of the alarm.

The mystery continues it seems. I cant find it at all and cant find any reference to it on any websites.
Oh to have manual window winders!!

Still cant find any reference to the early cars electric windows but I've just had another look in my car and the relay I thought was alarm related certainly isnt and has two similar 5/6 way connectors on it, so that would be my guess!
Its located in the passenger foot well on the trans tunnel if thats any help.
Good luck
Mike

Aah, that looks helpful thanks. From that pic it looks like its located near the dme computer but im wondering if that refers to an american model, ie the dme on the left hand side or our passenger side.

not sure on that but its from the workshop manual that is available for download on the net so may be American
