Electric Windows Puzzler

steyning

I have an interesting situation on my 924. Both electric window operate well but not as they are supposed to. By swapping the three individual window switches around on the doors I can either have:
  1. Driver and passenger can control their OWN window from the switch on the door, but the driver cannot operate the passenger window.
  2. Driver controls BOTH windows from the switches on the driver door, but the passenger cannot control their own window.
[>:]Sadly, I cannot get all three switches to do as intended !

Suspecting a faulty switch, I have temporarily swapped all three with working ones from a friend's car and this made no difference. Both motors are also well lubricated and operating well - am I missing something obvious, any help appreciated!

Thanks for that - I have checked the relay (there appears to be two - the other for the radio..) and swapped with another of the same type (rear defogger) but no success still. Any other ideas?[:(]
