I cannot get my stop lamps and side lights to work, i have changed fuses and bulbs and still no joy, the fuses are not blowing.

Any ideas?

Thanks Chris.

I presume you are talking about lights at the rear of the car?

Check the circuit methodically with a meter. You'll find the fault eventually. Starting with the earth connections could be a good idea.

Keep us posted with how you get on.

Thanks dude, yes i do mean the rear lights, the reverse, fog and brake lights all work, its the two small light bulbs in each holder that are not coming on..

Erm, stop lights and brake lights are the same thing aren't they? [&:]

If you mean that neither of the filaments in the twin-filament bulb are coming on then I'd be looking at the earth connections for that particular bulb; one earth fault there would cause neither filament to work.

Its the rear tail light, and the two front sidelights, ive just been out and got a little test meter, thanks for your reply

what a complete nightmare, one side of the cars lights to work, done a test on the block that the headlight switch goes onto and had no power going into the pin socket that
controls the lights on the other side of the car

So i took off the fuse box, wriggled a few corroded conections and nothing........................ except pop up lights that went up in tune with the hazard lights, horn sounding
when turning to fire the car up, cannot turn off high beam.

Looks like i need a new fuse box
