Electrical problems - Cannot remove key?

I've received the following query from a member - can anyone help?

I am currently on my 3rd New Boxster, the first 2 were faultless, I regret the latest has not. On top of a faulty Camshaft sensor warning me the car was about to die, not once but again immediately after it was supposedly returned fixed, I am having a repeated problem of the vehicle warning me of ABS Failure/PASM Failure/and an inability of removing the key unless I put the Gear selector in P "" not easy on a manual car!!!

My Local Porsche centre assured me it had been fixed, twice, computer needed reset or some such nonsense, and would not reoccur. It just has, another twice, while on a motoring holiday in Europe , not very convenient when you cannot leave the car anywhere as the key is there and anyone can drive it away. After Porsche Bordeaux, found no fault, because the battery flattened over night and the fault vanished, they said it was OK, and it then happened again the next day, On my own initiative I tried disconnecting the Battery. This did at least reset the car, allowing me to remove the key and lock it. But not a practical long term solution!

Has anyone come across this before? Is so, any ideas what the problem was (so that the member can point the OPC in the right direction[&:]

Thanks!

Edit:

I've taken "on Tip" out of the thread title - I think I added that in a moment of madness - and it's got to confuse![&:] [&o]

I find it nothing short of incredible that someone has to ask the PCGB Reg Sec for ideas for an OPC to fix a car that's still in production! [&:]

Is this what the COC was intended for? [;)]

President Donothing AKA George W said only last week "What do I know I'm only the president" which I guess is a similar reason why we are being asked to assist an OPC! After all what do they know about oily bits these days when it's all plastic or paper materials associated with accounting that there expertise lies in :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
