Emberton Park - June 13th

The region is planning to meet for it's annual Pic-nic and BBQ at Emberton Park. Last year, we had about 24 cars arrive - and the perfect weather made it a great day for all.

And, as per last year, entry is free for people arriving in a Porsche, with arrival time anytime from 1pm onwards. Please bring a BBQ, food or whatever you like to take your fancy - I'll plan to ignite around 3pm (my weber takes forever to get hot).

I'll be manning a BBQ again with plenty of space on it, so if you have not got a portable heat machine, then I'm sure we'll find way to incinerate your particular brand of inaninmate object.

If you are interested, then please invite another Porsche / car enthusiast, and come along !

Kite's bat, ball, bikes, children - all welcome !

All the best

STEVE

See you there then!! We had a great time last year, may even bring a Porsche!!!

Hope the weather is as good.

From 2pm onwards at Emberton.

Does anyone fancy driving over to OPC Reading on Saturday or early Sunday to join in the Le Mans activities?

Mac, will do Reading with you on the Saturday if you want to go down, meet you somewhere in between, have put our names down on the Thames Valley thread but not yet confirmed a time.

Cheers buddy

The family McClellan will be there!

Have we got those really nice chaps from DTConcours at the event again? Hope so, as I want to buy some more of their products. The clay bar pack was excellent value last year.

Also, I shall be going to OPC Reading on Saturday night, heading off at about 7pm'ish.

I rang the park yesterday to check all was as previous.

Answer I got was:- "Well, get here early enough and you can park where you like"[&:]

It turns out, I was speaking not to the owner, but gate security... I'll call the top chappie today to ensure we're all sorted for our "regular" spot as per last year.

Seeya then

It always pays to speak with the "Dogs Head" [said owner] as speaking with the "Dogs Tail" [Gate security] puts you in close proximity to the "Dogs a_$e !
and the results will be less than expected.

Just got back from Emberton Park. Many thanks to everyone there including Mel, Steve, Pete and so many others whose names escape my feeble brain for a very enjoyable afternoon in the sun. Jane and I enjoyed it and feel our enthusiasm considerably boosted to join in on more of the other PCGB (and specifically R10) events. Looking forward to the Devon weekend next week - hopefully see some of you there too.

Thanks again for the great company.

Good afternoon had by all the family and nice to meet a few new faces. Thanks to Steve and Michelle for supplying the gazeebo, plates etc. - sorry we couldn't stay to wash up ..

Hi Dave - great to see you and your "reserved & laid back" 964[;)]

It inspired our neighbours 13yr old lad to remark that your car was the show stopper for him - and he hadn't any interest in cars until that point.

If we all manage to inspire the next breed of petrolhead as well as your car did yesterday, then it can't be a bad thing in my book. [:)]
