Emission Control Warning - 986 Boxster S

Anyone experienced the emission control warning light? Mine has come on accompanied by loud rattling and now I have "Check Engine Drive to Workshop" message which I am going to arrange asap.

Loud rattling has now seemed to have gone & exhaust note has changed. Could this be baffle plates in silencer or problem with cat?

Any advice / help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Pete

had the same thing happen to me, aa came out and got it diagnosed, turned out to be a faulty 02 lambda sensor, but said it was ok to drive just don't floor it. you will have to get it on a machine and see what the reading is as it could be a number of things like the maf, do this instead of throwing money at it. if it is an 02 sensor they are about £200 from porsche, mafs are a little more expensive but can be cleaned ..... hope this helps :)
