I was not fully aware of this change to the paper tax disc!

End of an era.

Keep an old tax disc in the holder. Can't get fined to failing to display as they won't be giving us anything to display.

Cheers,

I feel sorry for the tax disc holder manufacturers... This will kill off a few companies. I have a lovely aluminium tax disc holder which will be pretty useless now.... I could always use it as a drinks mat I suppose!!

Road tax or Rego windscreen stickers in Western Australia was ceased a couple of years ago as it is all on state computer, you get a renewal notice when its due. Should you fail to renew then your number plates can be removed by the police so you cant drive the car and you have to re register it. No MOT (there is none but the car if found to be faulty by the police will have to go to the PITS to get tested normally 14 days) or insurance cert required as your Rego covers third party only insurance provided you have paid it!
My sons car was involved in an accident just before Xmas and the driver was unlicensed therefore uninsured so this is then then in the hands of the police & his insurance company (to retrieve the money), fortunately my sons vehicle was insured fully comp. At least every vehicle should be insured if it has Rego.
