End of warranty inspection

Hi all,

My first question after buying Fidgit's car a few weeks ago - be gentle!

The car is in its last month of extended OPC warranty for this year and I seem to remember various posts mentioning an "end of warranty inspection".

Is there such a thing?

I'm putting the car on Hartech's "LMP" maintenance plan when the warranty expires next month and I'd like to get warrantied bits fixed before Hartech do the 96k service and accept it onto their plan. From reading their Ts and Cs, anything Hartech find that needs fixing has to be done by them before I can get the car on the LMP. Obviously I'd like to keep this to a minimum.

So far the car is running well and every drive is an event! And my 4 month old son even fits in the back with his existing rear-facing seat as Daddy is a bit of a shorty.

Cheers for any help,

G

P.S. Thanks to everyone for running such an informative forum - you really helped me in my research before taking the plunge.

The hartech scheme sounds good and, if they weren't so far away, would consider it myself. Just a thought, though .... why don't you get hartech to do their 'C' service before your warrantee expires - then, if they find anythiing needs doing that is warrantee'd, simply take it along to the OPC to get fixed ?

That's what I'm actually doing - I just wanted to get the car checked over before the service at Hartech.

Luckily my Mum + sis (and the outlaws) live fairly near Bolton so I can combine the yearly service with a trip back up North.
