My 996TT Tiptronic has a small clunk when pulling away quickly and I am pretty sure it is the engine mounts. Pretty much every other possibility has been eliminated and bearing in mind I can find no evidence of the mounts having been changed, the car is probably on its originals which arte now 22 years old!
I plan to change the transmission mount as well and I was wondering what the views were on the RSS mounts v OEM. I have read loads of articles some of which say it is the best upgrade for the money whilst others are less complimentary and report increased noise and vibration.
I don't want to re-run the debate and was just hoping that someone with a 996TT Tip with RSS mounts could give their views.
Any other options or should I just stick with stock?
