Engine Cleaning

Hi there,

Because it was not too cold last weekend I made the effort to clean the engine of my recent purchased 3.2.
I think that was the first time ever the engine was cleaned.
I never did it before, but was very positive surprised about the result.
GUNK did a good job.

Just a bit confusing when an after picture is labelled as before.
Looking good, nice when a job makes a marked improvement.
There is a black plastic cap you can buy to cover the large nut in the centre of the fan, good finishing touch - 911.603.127.00 Protection Cap.

Sorry, I didn't get the pictures in correctly ....
I was looking for that plastic cap online, but couldn't find it.

Try calling your local Porsche Centre parts department with the part number above and see how affordable it is from them. Perhaps you will pay a premium because it possibly comes in a nice Porsche Genuine parts box. If Porsche want an exhorbitant sum try calling an independent parts supplier for a better price.

I have had a carrera 3.2 for 4 years and used Motawerk in leicester however Fred left can anyone recommend a good garage that is reasonable and honest. I currently live in northampton.
