I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a situation with my sister's 2002 Boxster S. She had an engine 'overheating' warning light alluminate whilst driving, she turned off and back on the ignition and it cleared. When back home, she had a look at the engine and there was 'green gel' leaking everywhere, over the phone I told her this could be engine coolant and not to drive the car. She had a look at the coolant level and it was empty. She phoned OPC Hatfield and they told her to drive the car over to them. After a mile or two she heard a grinding sound and pulled over and called OPC Hatfield, a mechanic came out and drove the car back to the dealership. This afternoon they have carried out 'pressure' tests and believe there to be no probs, but will carry out further tests tommorrow morning.
Has this happened to anyone before?
My opinion is that she shouldn't have driven it - even though OPC told her to?
