Engine/Gearbox mounts

Hi Guys,
I am wanting to pick your brains regarding engine/gearbox mounts. I am looking to renew these items on my 3.2 Carrera and would appreciate some advice on type, make and supplier. I was looking to upgrade to a set of polyurethane mounts to stiffen the engine/gearbox. Would it be advisable to go for the same type of mounts for both engine and gearbox or would you split between urethane engine mounts and solid mounts for the gearbox?
All I am doing here is throwing out the question with little to no knowledge of the type of setups people use. Please don't shoot the messenger. No track use but fast road only. Thanks guys.

Just my opinion, but would have thought that renewing with Porsche original engine and gearbox mounts would freshen the feel up considerably, without having to resort to any aftermarket poly bushes.[;)]

Genuine Porsche mounts are about 70 quidm OEM about 24 quid, dont go Porsche please

What year is your car? G50 box mounts are a different ball game

Agree with the above Ray, Standard mounts are fine for "fast road use"
we use hard race mounts on my sons race/track car and they are great on the circuit but hery harsh, solid, and there is no dampening effect so more strain on other components.(including yourself:rolleyes:)
I'd stick with Oem engine and box mounts on a road car.
regards
Graham

There is a third way!

The standard mounts used on Cabriolets and the CS were firmer than the standard ones, but not a firm as the poly type. This may be an optimum compromise for a road car, I use them on one of my cars.
