The engine management light came on have had a EOBD diagnostic check and has come up with two fault codes
P0453 Evaporative emmission system pressure sensor/switch high
P0447 Evaporative emmission system vent control circuit open
Just wondering if anyone can help i presume the two are linked if i get a new sensor i presume it will fix both i would like to know where the sensor is situated and if it is easy to locate.
Many thanks

It might also be a wiring fault. This is what the diagnostic manual says about P0447 96 EVAP canister shutoff valve (output stage) - open circuit Diagnosis conditions * Engine running * Battery voltage greater than 7 V * Fuel tank ventilation active Possible fault cause * Wiring harness * Shutoff valve faulty * DME control module faulty The P0453 fault also indicates a wiring fault, as shown on the attachment. If you drop me an email I'll send you both sheets in full.

Sheets sent. There are a couple of threads here worth looking at: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php/topic/23862-p0453-tank-pressure-sensor/page__view__findpost__p__124564 http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php/topic/27558-996-evap-canister/page__view__findpost__p__145494 Try searching there for P0447 and P0453 and you'll get lots of hits.
