Engine management light!

The engine management light has come on in my 2004 C4S. Also the temp warning light and fuel low light are permanently on and the rev counter doesn't work! There's no loss of power and it starts and runs fine. Any ideas?

Get the fault codes read then you can post on here and get the interpretation. With a temperature warning I would expect the C.E.L. to illuminate, but if you don't physically have this issue then whatever communicates with the engine management could be sending a false signal so have you checked for poor connection on the temperature sender?

Low fuel in 996 can give issues because the tank is a kind of "saddle" construction and the delivery pump can actually run dry if you go uphill, so I am told. The Carrera may be different of course, but, have you put enough fuel in the tank to extinguish the low fuel lamp? It might sound silly but on my turbo I was in a hurry one day and put in about £20 which even these days is a good three and a half gallons (oh for the days when we used to put in a pound'sworth) and the light didn't go out, which I deduced was because of how the tank and low warning sender is located.

Rev counter, sorry can't help, but all in all sounds like dirty or corroded connections on one or more connectors.
