Engine management or me ?

Just returned from a round trip down South and back (1000 miles) and the car performed impeccably apart from one strange moment - it's happened once before (last summer) and I wonder if it is engine management or just my driving. When reversing uphill with low revs, the engine stalled and try as I may I couldnt restart the car. However, after leaving it for half an hour it started perfectly and ran without a further problem. If it is an engine management thing, is there anything I can do to override it if it happens again, since this time I was parked at a busy junction across 2 car park entrances !

Since no one has commented on this, I presume that I am alone in experiencing this situation and that it is a quirk of my car or my driving - or does any one of you experts know different ?

I had two occasions in about 3 1/2 years of ownership of my C2 when it didn't start instantly. It was just like it was flooded, and took a lot of cranking before it fired up Both occasions were first thing in the morning, when parked in my garage. I have no idea what was wrong, and because it only did it the twice I decided not to worry. In my case it fired up within a minute or so, spluttering a bit before it cleared.

It might be worth getting the fault codes read, just in case it has stored any. Most fault codes will reset themselves after a certain number of driving cycles (engine cold-hot-cold), so worth doing sooner than later.
