engine number

new porsche 987 boxster owner ! about to register to the club
could any give advice on where to find the engine number,
and chassis number, please. thank paul..
 
The VIN will be on the V5C Registration Document, as will the engine number.

The VIN will also be on the Vehicle Identification Label in the Maintenance booklet, on a plate at the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side (looking from outside), on a sticker on the driver's door shut, and stamped into the bodywork next to the battery. The only other place the engine number can be found is stamped onto the crankcase, but it can be very difficult to read.
 
I wouldnt use the V5, so many are wrong, if you give the reg I can advise you of the numbers
