hi there i am wanting to give my boxster s a oil change and i am a little unsure which oil to use i know thay recommend the mobil 1 5w40 i have also been told a lot of people use the red line 5w40 oil wich is a very high performance oil as anyone used this oil in there boxster or should i just keep with the mobil 1 thanks byron
 
Buy your Mobil 1 from Costco if there is one nearby. £20-23 & Vat for 4/5 ltrs - cannot remember exactly.
 
is this true it would cost me about £40 to £50 just to buy the oil my self that is hard to believe but i will phone kwik fit first thing in the morning i hope you are right its knot worth me doing the oil change my self for that price thanks

Yes, Kwik fit! They are not all bad, if you speak to the mechanic ahead of the oil change and let him know what you expect then all should be well. As the £39 is cheap enough you could slip him a few quid cash to do an 'extra special job' to ensure proper service if you are worried.
