Engine rebuilds for a 3.2

Hi, Hope some one can help. I'm looking to get a rebuild done on my 3.2 carrera as it's developed a nasty rattle under load[:(]. I would like a complete job done so I can be confident it will last.
I'm even happy to ship the engine abroad, as after speaking with the people at Motor Meister in the US they definately offer better value for money and seem to do a very thorough job. I'm just not sure if I have to pay dutys on the work otherwise it would be crated by now..!

Has any one else shipped thier engine abroad, if so any advise will be helpful.
Or alternativly if anyone knows of a reasonbly priced dealer in the hampshire area I would be interested in their details

Thanks
Dodge

I'm sure others can help on the rebuild in the UK front but the feedback on Motor Meister on Pelican is so poor I wouldn't risk it - particularly from a distance!

Regards

Roy

Thanks Roy, I'll have a look at the pelican web site and see the feed back on Motor Meister.

I just read some of the stuff about MM on the pelican site, needless to say the engine is not going there now...!!

IMHO I think you would be insane to ship an engine just to have ot rebuilt, the chances of something going pear shaped and then having no come back are high. Ring your RS and ask who he recommends. I would ring for prices at NO 5 garage, Autofarm, Chris Turner, Autostrasse and JZ for starters. I'm sure other members will add to this list.

Try John Holland at Unit 11 in Warrington. Had mine done there. Nothing but praise and a man with a grip on reality

The prices seem OK & I imagine the turn-around would be quick.
