engine stutter

Hi,
I need a little help with engine behavior on my 3.2 carrera:
It seems in excellent all round condition. However, at around 1000-1500 rpm the engine stutters and feels as though it is hunting for fuel. At higher revs the problem does not happen. If I let the car drift in traffic with no rev' s, it stutters badly, so much that I need to put it in neutral.
Will Optimax cure this?

Any ideas pls?

Is it manual or tip? we may have had a similar problem with our 996, to the point that our would stall. let us know a bit more info?

Amazing! , filled up with Optimax today and problem CURED!!.

Does this mean that my 3.2 is more sensitive than normal?, as I' ve been told that a 3.2 should work OK with super unleaded and unleaded.
Can any one else comment?
