ENGINE SWAP

Certainly possible and there is a lot of info out there, especially Stateside. Try searching on the 912 Registry Forum http://www.912bbs.org/

Won't be the cheapest project and unless you are going for a special engine you might be better getting your 912 lump rebuilt and tuned up, assuming it's in one piece.

Give us some more info about budgets and motivation and we can figure out your best plan.

The car had no motor when i bought it, but has had a good rebuild ad the body is rust-free. I also have a 2.2 motor that can go into it. My concerns are in the oil supply/tank arrangements and in the relocation of engine mounting points. The g/box is a 901.
I have considered finding and tuning a suitable '4' motor, but frankly, i would rather go the '6' route if it is not too much in terms of budget and headache.
